Namaste Charles ~ WoW! you covered a lot of territory there ~ wish the hell i could refer to it while replying ~ you hit on a few points that rang true with my recovery. MR Bill in the original BB stated at the end of his spiel "We are 100 'Recovered' alcoholics who are no longer troubled by the drink." That is where i've made it to 15,330+ days ~ don't recall the first day that i realized that i'd made it through more than one day without . . . i quit alcohol, tobacco and drugs ALL at the same time ~ get er' done. HOWEVER ~ there is a complication ~ at 16 i went through the front windshield of a stolen vehicle at 60mph ~ my WHOLE life has been one of horrific 'Chronic Pain' that's what started "my" drinking ~ i'd swore i'd NEVER be like my mother and spent WAY too many years emulating her behavior because of that. In 2009 i had decided that LIFE as it was for me ~ was no longer worth the pain involved. The 'Pill Pushers' put me on Morphine' ~ 60mg twice a day ~ THAT dose kept me LOADED AND PAIN FREE which isn't very conducive to being clean and sober.
~ so i stared working on getting off of it somehow. Just over a year ago now i am 100% Chronic Pain Free!!!! AND NOT STONED even though i am using RSO ~ i've found a balance point where i am completely chronic pain free but not high. I'm working on sugar now.
